Physicians Representing
UROPAC Meet With Federal Legislators
Over the last month, AACU members met with several U.S. representatives in their home districts.
On July 1, Dr. David Bock, along with other physicians from Kansas City Urology Care, provided a tour of their facility to Rep. Sharice Davids (KS-3). The first-term congresswoman expressed an interest in learning more about urology issues, and in particular, the bureaucratic challenges patients face throughout the treatment and recovery process.
In June, Dr. Seth Cohen attended an event hosted by Rep. Judy Chu (CA-27) during which they discussed funding for graduate medical education (GME) and the importance of PSA screening. Dr. Jeffrey Frankel and Dr. Patrick McKenna also had the opportunity to discuss issues affecting the practice of urology with their respective federal legislators – Rep. Kim Schrier (WA-8) and Rep. Ron Kind (WI-3) – at recent in-district constituent events.
UROPAC looks forward to a continued positive relationship with all of these offices.
